 After following the steps in fob's comment, `next_posts_link()` still
 works as expected for me with both normal posts and custom post types.
 Could you provide more detailed steps to manifest? BTW, what does
 `$query_string` value look like in this case? Mine is
 `paged=2&pagename=blog`.
