 Basically when a new user signs up on a MultiSite install, there is no
 default 'site' they're assigned to anymore.  It used to be the case (in
 3.0.5) that you got kicked to the main blog but now there's nothing.

 Is this an intended change?  I don't see any harm to it just yet, since
 you can still comment etc and use BuddyPress etc.
