 There is no way to filter/modify output of the function
 wp_widget_rss_output contained in
 [http://core.trac.wordpress.org/browser/trunk/wp-includes/default-
 widgets.php default-widgets.php]

 It would be nice to be able to filter the `<a>` tags so that attributes
 such as `class=` or `rel=` can be added.
