 Not sure I agree that this is a feature request; it's definitely a problem
 with an existing feature, even though fixing it properly is going to
 involve omg-bbq levels of UX work on the page Edit screen. The underlying
 `get_pages()` problem is almost taken care of. What if we finish that up,
 then start a new feature request ticket for the UI changes to make it
 clear what's going on with the newly included page statuses?
