 it's the sorta obnoxious thing that if it's done too early in the release
 cycle, the smaller files will just get overwritten as changes happen, but
 too late in the cycle noone wants to do it as it's late in the cycle.  I'm
 not sure from a workflow perspective if it's really a practical solution
 as a ticket-action, or if it should be more of a 'guidelines' of smushing
 images before attaching them to tickets and such -- or if trac could
 somehow auto-smush uploaded images?
