 I know it's better not to hack the core, but many users need the word
 count. For example, i know dozens of wordpress blog that use this CMS to
 create a digglike, and the word count is really useful.
 In my case, it fixed immediately the issue.

 I know it also hacks the core, but the core should correct this bug in
 next version 3.3.1

 We all use the french version of WordPress.
