Comment:

 I think I'm experiencing the same issue, though in my case
 http://domain.com/virtual_subfolder/ is redirecting to
 http://www.domain.com. I'm attaching a patch to ms-settings.php that seems
 to fix the issue in the hopes that it points someone in the right
 direction.
