 The invite email that is sent when you add a new user using multisite uses
 the role slug in: "You have been invited to join x as a [role slug]".

 Would it not be better if used something like
 `$roles['role_names'][$role]` in
 http://core.trac.wordpress.org/browser/trunk/wp-admin/user-new.php#L76
