 Thank you for your quick reply, Scribu, really appreciated. I agree about
 the extra parameter (which would replace the clunky $_GET value), but the
 same thing should be added to the deactivation hook. Also, what about the
 'wpmu_new_blog' hook, is it safe to assume it will be still available in
 WP 3.1 to run the activation script when a new blog is created (and the
 plugin is network-activated?) I would suggest keeping this hook and let
 plugin developers handle the activation accordingly.
