 I wrote some code for testing that all the hooks in WP 3.0 can still be
 found in WP 3.1-alpha, after the ajaxification:

 There don't seem to be any incompatibilities left.

 That said, problems still remain:

  * the existing hooks are very inconsistent, from one screen to the next,
  * sometimes even conflicting: #14562
  * plugin columns are wack: #15318
