 I think that would be unnecessary.  If you have so many items that the
 existing "select all" is too slow, then it's unlikely you're going to be
 adding them all to a menu (hundreds of items).

 And if you're really, truly wanting ''all'' of a kind of item, you're
 probably looking more for something like {{{wp_list_categories()}}}, which
 will handle future cases and hierarchy automatically.
