 Not compared but ''in addition'' to the other regexes. We had already
 problems with regexes on long posts. Introducing new ones for something
 that don’t even fixes a real bug and runs on every post ever published is
 not efficient, imho.
 There has to be a better solution. Moving the filter to a plugin seems to
 be the best option.
