 WordPress currently maps Windows Media files to Internet media types not
 registered with IANA and not in official recommended guidelines by the
 filetype's creator, Microsoft.

 Attached patch remaps Windows Media file name extensions to the official
 Microsoft recommended media types. The "reserved" file name extension wmx
 is removed.
