Comment:

 Also, whatever text which entered into the "Link URL" field should persist
 for each attachment in a gallery, just as the other fields' values
 persist. I would like to use that Link URL to go to some other location
 than the Post or File, and I would like this URL to be stored as a
 postmeta or the attachment so it can be queried.
