into wp-admin/post.php. Translated strings need special care. Subbing
translated words into translated string is not translator friendly. "Add
New %s", for example. Post types will probably have to register "Add New
Thingy", "Edit Thingy", and such. We can't do that for every string
though. I think we'll have to keep the page strings for pages and then use
the post string for everything else.
Is there a reason we can use translatable strings like __('Edit %s') where
%s is replaced by the post_type label. I'm know very little about
languages, but are there any languages where the verb changes based on the
characteristics of the noun being acted on?
As a side note, we should probably add label_plural to the
register_post_type() args.
