 Also, if a certain post type becomes popular and other plugins offer a
 meta box that they think works well with that post type, they can register
 for that post type.

 We should add hooks to make a post type manager plugin possible, but such
 a UI is not going to happen in 3.0 and probably never. Even the best
 capability management UIs are impenetrable and unfriendly.
