Comment(by carlhancock):
How is the menu order determining what menu is loaded if you don't
explicitly tell the front end function call what menu to load?
For instance with a fresh install with the 2010 theme if I add a new menu
called "Main Menu" and populate it with fields, the 2010 theme doesn't
explicitly say which menu to load so it pulls in the only menu that
exists. That is fine if you have one menu.
Now if I add another menu called "Footer Menu" the 2010 theme now switches
and starts using this menu as the main menu, although I didn't create it
with intentions of necessarily using it right away.
How is it determining which menu to display of no menu is specified? It's
not the first because Main Menu was the first menu I created. It appears
to be displaying the last... just seems like this could cause come
confusion and temporarily disrupt some sites if someone running 2010 goes
in and plays around with adding a new menu not realizing because of how
the menu call is made that this new menu is now all of a sudden being used
as the main menu on his live site...
Can anyone clarify? Hopefully my description above was not too confusing.
