I posted these two examples at the mysql.com string comparison page.
There's no need to support both of them, but it is an interesting
exercise.
SELECT 'hello\\\\\'world' LIKE 'hello\\\\\\\\\\\'world'
or
SELECT 'hello\\\\\'world' LIKE 'hello|\\|\\|\'world' ESCAPE '|'
