 Next to that, the license in wordpress does not make use of the geographic
  limitation that it optionally offers, so to say, you can't only argument
  with US copyright law. But that only as marginal note.

 Since the project is essentially run in the US and is stewarded or heavily
 supported by a US-based foundation, it seems that compliance with US
 copyright law is a minimum requirement. I.e., you can't say including of
 Hello, Dolly! lyrics is OK because, say, Russian copyright law is more
 permissible. ("Russian" is just an educational example. :-))
