 My suggestion then is renaming the functions get_template_directory() and
 get_template_directory_uri() and get_stylesheet_directory() and
 get_stylesheet_directory_uri() since each counterpart gives a different
 return value, the naming convention makes bloginfo's naming convention of
 its variables counter-productive.
