Comment:

 Essentially agree with the concept of the ticket, but wonder what use it
 would be put to?  There's a lot of ambiguity around IP addresses -
 proxies, dynamic IPs etc. that mean they are not as useful as they might
 be.

 Maybe the core element should just provide for the storage of IPs, and
 leave the business to plugins?
