Thanks @bsamrajni. I did find the whole post.php file useful as I could
just apply it to my site directly.
@mtekk is right though - when you list posts / pages after putting your
fix in, it displays all the draft ones as well, even when you're not
logged in. On top of that it only works for draft and not private pages.
However it does provide a useful work around, until a correct fix is
found. You can use the exclude pages [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins
/exclude-pages/] or set the pages to be private to exclude them.
