Comment:

 During this weeks dev chat the general consensus was that as permalinks
 are meant to be permanent trashed items should win in the slug battle
 until fully purged from the db.

 We think that is would be good to improve the ux with a suitable message
 as to why about-1234 was being used and to make it easy to empty the post
 from the trash to get the prettier permalink.
