 When you create the first custom menu and add the first item to it, it
 gets added as a custom type item even though you're adding a post or page.

 Steps to reproduce:
 Multi-site set up (haven't tried this with single site)
 Delete all existing menus
 Create a new menu
 Click "view all" on posts or pages widget
 Select a page or post and click button to add to menu
 New custom menu item is added to menu instead of post or page.
