 {{{DI}}} isn't included in the definition of block level elements (line
 188 in {{{wp-includes/formatting.php}}}):

 {{{
 $allblocks = '(?:table|thead|...
 }}}

 which results in opening paragraph tags {{{<p>}}} being placed before
 every {{{<di>}}}.
