 This is a fine idea, but they should not be called GUIDs. GUIDs have a
 pretty strong and standard definition. Using a URL is most definitely not
 a GUID in the typical usage. Using a URL as an identifier is what RDF
 does, and the terminology used there is URI of which URLs are only a
 subset.
