 The main problem with the animation is that the notice is shown before the
 comment is faded out, resulting in everything jumpin down and then up
 again when the comment has faded out.

 With mine, the comment faded to red, then was replaced by the notice which
 faded from red. The only jump was the change in height when the comment
 became the notice, which wasn't really noticeable.
