Itching to re-open this one. Some hosts don't allow to override the value.
And I frequently get 10 minutes during clean-ups on this server I'm using
to test. All hell breaks loose if any amount of cleaning up is needed.
(FWIW, it takes about 10 minutes to manually clean up using FTP software.)
It is better, imo, to disconnect then reconnect, and then to set the
timeout to a new value.
