Comment:

 Punting.

 The patch is okay except that it doesn't prevent the spinner from causing
 the meta box title to grow by a few pixels, which makes it jittery
 (particularly when the ajax response is received quickly), so no use
 applying it. Instead of coming up with a workaround, I suggest it gets
 moved next to the button that was pressed.
