Comment:

 I think [11422] is a step in the wrong direction.

 For one thing, 888888 on ffffff falls short of the WCAG2-AA contrast
 requirement. (Maybe some subtle differentiation in background color will
 be necessary in the end to make things work well there...)

 There is no reason WP (or WP.org for that matter: see recent changes in
 WP.org style) should fall short of such easy requirements.

 Later today or tomorrow I’ll add a comment with some other issues I see in
 the Plugins page as it is now.
