 personally, I'd suggest forcing. after all, if a user decides to grab a
 feed using an rss widget, we could safely assume that it's a feed's url
 indeed.

 the idea behavior, though, would be to do:

  - if it's html, try to autodetect a feed
  - else force

 that way we'd have the best of both worlds
