 From trunk (06 may 2009) wp_mail is used in the following files :

     * /wp-includes/pluggable.php ->  line 1016
     * /wp-includes/pluggable.php -> line 1085
     * /wp-includes/pluggable.php -> line 1104
     * /wp-includes/pluggable.php -> line 1128
     * /wp-includes/pluggable.php -> line 1137
     * /wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php -> line 242
     * /wp-login.php -> line 151
     * /wp-login.php -> line 187

 * /wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php is on wp install

 * /wp-login.php -> line 151 & line 187 are to notify the user in
 retrieve_password() and reset_password()

 the global idea is to make those two mails pluggable !
