Comment:

 I suspect that quite a few of the repliers haven't fully read the full
 description.

 The ticket is not about treating comments caught as spam as in need of
 moderation.

 The ticket is about showing, to the commenter, a message that goes: Your
 message is awaiting moderation -- even if it was really caught as spam.

 The suggestion is a valid one imo. When you've a $2/hour Indian who is
 manually posting comment spam on your site, you want him to think he
 succeeded and move on to the next site.

 That being said, it can be done using a plugin, so closing as invalid
 given the feedback.
