 Can not reproduce in current trunk. for me the slug on quickedit is
 "test2" which seems valid to me.

 BUT: To re-test, I deleted my first test1 and test2 category and then I
 recreated two new ones. For the second test2 I wanted to set the parent
 and what happened? The deleted categories still were in the dropdown list.

 So this are my actual categories:
  * test1 — test2
  * test1
  * Uncategorized

 And this is the dropdown:
  * None
  * Uncategorized
  * ''Test1''
  * ''Test1 — test2''
  * test1
  * test1 — test2

 the italic ones are acutally non-existant.
