 Please do not mark this as wontfix - those of us that build on WordPress
 as a CMS need things like this to work as expected. In particular we want
 to be able to do so without having to hack the core in order to work
 around issues like this. This ability (customization without core hacking)
 is one of the great benefits to building on WordPress.
