 WP 2.8 introduced separate views for plugins, including Upgrade Available.

 On this screen, it makes sense to be able to select multiple plugins and
 upgrade them all at once.

 Currently, [http://www.prelovac.com/vladimir/wordpress-plugins/plugin-
 central Plugin Central] does this using iframes.
