 Yeah, looks like two tickets in one..

 For the second server the preferred method can be set in wp-config with:
 {{{
 define('FS_METHOD', 'method_here');
 }}}
 This can be either 'direct', 'ssh', 'ftpext' or 'ftpsockets'.
