 Mm, right. However, we still have a sticky array around on the front end
 with, potentially, some filters potentially applied inconsistently.

 It still feels like a gaz factory that can blow up if widgets are saved on
 the front end. But I've an idea in mind that should work without needing
 to squash the global.
