 I have loads of users that know well what the term "post type" means.
 They know that "page" and "attachment" are certain types of posts.  Maybe
 my theme/plugin users are just smarter than the average user; I don't
 know.  I say we stick with what we already have -- "post type."  My
 opinion is based on several conversations with average users, not other WP
 developers.  I think changing the terminology now just confuses matters
 more.

 Object type?  Seriously?  While I wouldn't mind that as a developer, it's
 not something that would get end users excited.
