 I'm getting the same warning (from lines 1302/1303) on the "Incoming
 Links," "WordPress Development Blog," and "Plugins" widgets on the
 dashboard since upgrading to WP2.9.

 PHP 5.2.11 (LiteSpeed / Linux)[[BR]]
 Safe mode: off[[BR]]
 open_basedir has a value set[[BR]]
 curl: libcurl/7.19.5 OpenSSL/0.9.8b zlib/1.2.3 libidn/0.6.5
