Comment:

 Closing this one from lack of reporter feedback. No point in keeping it
 around if it just gets ignored.

 My guess is some utf8 char made it into his regex due to a plugin, and the
 pcre engine dislikes it because he's not using the /u operator (which is
 not available on Windows platforms until 4.3.2).
