every single user with a custom mail about her/his username & password,
then user generating becomes a real pain.
Wordpress is (while beeing a articel&user-focused platform) pretty weak
with handling users and (additional) userdata. I think this would be a
significant step into the right direction for everybody who uses a
''closed'' system. At the moment you have to ''open'' the possibility to
register to everybody and switch between registration-screen (wp-
login.php) and user-data (wp-admin/users.php) to attach the needed data to
your users. After finishing new-user-registration you have to turn the
''everybody can register''-option off again. Until you register new users
who may need their username & password. This is a real pain with user-
handling.
I´d love to see this changed in wp 2.8.
