 or we could simply make sure that the file_get_contents(ABSPATH /
 .htaccess) contains the relevant rules, but the real point is: what should
 happen when the rules are not contained.

 it could have two reasons:

  - file is not writable
  - file is writable but we failed to write to it

 we currently manage the first, but not the second.
