Comment(by sambauers):

 First pass at auto suggestion for timezones based on common city and
 country names.

 Text input also accepts input of ZoneInfo zones like Australia/Sydney
 (including obsolete zones).

 Offsets set in 2.7 will be displayed as "UTC +nn:nn" until changed. The
 only choice of offsets available is UTC, other than that no other manual
 offsets can be used.
