 Is that really a big concern for every link on the page?  Maybe just leave
 the dotted borders on the input fields and buttons.  I can't imagine
 people Tabbing around through the left hand navigation.

 Also, Firefox is the only browser that renders those, so I just tend to
 like to neaten it up to look the same all around.
