 You can take it if you want, But be warned that i'll be doing #7875
 (consolidate plugin/theme/core upgrade/install functions) early in 2.8
 hopefully, Which really only leaves the UI the same.. Might be better
 holding off until I've(or someone else has) had a chance to at least start
 implementing that?
