#7833: Allow future posts to be published immediately
 Reporter: philtre_neuf | Owner: anonymous
     Type: enhancement | Status: new
 Priority: high | Milestone: 2.7
Component: General | Version:
Severity: normal | Keywords: post date future
If a post author sets the post date somewhere in the future, it is now
 automatically scheduled for publication.

Ideally, one would be able to choose whether to:

 1. schedule the post for later publication

 2. publish the post immediately with a future timestamp

 - For publishing posts about upcoming events

 - For fictional blogs that take place in the future

Basically, if I can publish posts with a past date, I'd like to be able to
publish them with a future date.
In effect, separate post scheduling from the post date.
