 Yeah, with the non-standard permalink with %category% the behaviour is to
 show "There's no articles in this category yet" whether it's a category or
 not.

 Whether it's a big deal or not probably depends on what your theme does in
 those instances, and whether you're really that bothered about 404s being
 sent.
