 The "export" feature in WordPress produces an XML file from which post
 titles are missing (there are just empty <title></title> tags). This
 happens in all versions I have around (2.2.1, 2.3.3 and 2.5.1). It happens
 in existing installations on my host as well as vanilla installs on my
 home computer.

 It makes it impossible to use this feature to migrate a WP blog.
