 6476.002.diff does:

  1. detection of ASC/DESC in {{{$orderby}}} in get_posts() and ignores
 {{{$order}}} if present
  1. regex screening of orderby clause passed through the gallery shortcode
  1. removes the quotes

 {{{[gallery orderby="RAND()"]}}} is kinda fun.
